Yes, a founder can run a consistent content channel alone, and two hours a week is enough if those two hours are fixed, protected and split into four jobs: twenty minutes to plan, sixty minutes to film, thirty minutes to edit and schedule, ten minutes to review. What kills founder content is not a lack of time. It is starting from a blank page every day and treating each post as its own project.
The system below is the one we hand to founders who are not ready for a production team yet. It produces three to five pieces per week from a single session, and it keeps working when the calendar gets full, because it only asks for one appointment with yourself.
Open your sent emails, your call notes and the questions clients asked this week. Every question a prospect asked you is a post someone else is also waiting for. Pick three to five of them and write one sentence per topic: the claim you want to make. Not a script, just the point. If you cannot say the point in one sentence, the topic is not ready.
Same chair, same window light, same framing, phone on a tripod at eye level, clip on microphone. Film each topic two or three times, starting with the claim, never with an introduction. Change your shirt or the angle between topics if you like, but do not rebuild the set. The fixed setup is what makes this fast, and it quietly becomes your visual signature.
Use the last ten minutes for B roll: hands on the keyboard, a walk through the office, a whiteboard sketch. These clips will carry text posts and Stories for weeks.
Cut the dead air, add burned in subtitles, and spend most of your editing time on the opening. Instagram's head Adam Mosseri has repeatedly said that how long people keep watching is one of the strongest signals for Reels, so a slow start costs you more than any imperfect cut later on. Write the caption as a short, searchable explanation of the topic, then schedule everything for the week in one go.
Do not drown in analytics. Look at one thing: which piece produced a reaction from the people you actually want to work with. A DM, a save from a prospect, a comment from a client. Next week, plan one more piece in that direction.
The two hour system is a starting point, not a ceiling. Once content starts producing enquiries, the bottleneck shifts from consistency to quality: lighting, editing, a content architecture that moves people from awareness to trust to conversion. That is usually the moment a founder's own visibility becomes a business asset worth investing in, as described in our piece on personal branding for managing directors.
