Project Name: Hanna: The Transformation

Client Name: Hanna Erz

What We Wanted to Do:

Hanna is one of our best friends and one of the most creative, driven, and colorful people we know. She’s an actress, model, painter, entrepreneur, stylist, and so much more. Hanna owns an atelier in the now-crushed-down Botanischer Garten in Munich. This vibrant place of artistic expression and colorful creative people was destroyed to make way for industrial buildings. Normally, Hanna is portrayed as a lively and colorful soul in her works and photos. For this project, we wanted to capture her in a completely different light—cold, capitalistic, clean, and minimal—to simulate the transformation that happened to her home.

What We Did:

The result, Hanna: The Transformation, is a compelling series that juxtaposes Hanna's usual colorful and dynamic presence with a stark, minimalist aesthetic. This project challenged us to step out of our creative comfort zones and explore new ways of storytelling through imagery. The series effectively conveys the dramatic shift from a place of creativity to one of cold industrialization, portraying a significant change in Hanna's environment and speaking to broader themes of loss and transformation in the face of urban development.
