A Haunting in Venice
Venice is often celebrated for its beauty and carelessness, but there’s another side to the city that many overlook—a side that is still, eerie, and somewhat spooky. Instead of capturing the traditional sunny and vibrant Venice, I aimed to highlight this haunting aspect, portraying the city as it lies shrouded in fog and mystery.
The series, Venice in the Shadows, successfully captures the haunting ambiance of Venice. The foggy streets, dimly lit canals, and shadowy figures all contribute to a sense of eerie stillness. This project challenged me to see Venice in a completely different light and to capture the city’s mysterious and haunting essence. The photos evoke a sense of unease and curiosity, inviting viewers to look beyond the city’s well-known beauty and explore its darker, more enigmatic side.
